We are seeking an HR Manager with a minimum of 4 years professional HR experience in a structured corporate or BPO environment. You will oversee all India HR operations.

This role focuses on staff wellbeing, recruitment, onboarding, attendance and HR record management and ensuring compliance with employment documentation and HR policies.

Payroll is managed externally and is not part of this position’s scope.

Role highlights:

  • Full ownership of recruitment pipelines, onboarding, and HR documentation.
  • Oversight of employee wellbeing, attendance, and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and Australian-aligned employment standards.
  • Draft and manage employment agreements, offer letters, and experience letters.
  • Standard shift: 8:00am–5:00pm (IST), Monday to Friday, full time on-site.

Candidate Skill and Industry Experience

This position requires hands-on HR management experience within a structured or compliance-driven organisation. The ideal candidate will bring both people-centric judgement and process-driven discipline, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance across all employment matters.

Core skills:

  • End-to-end recruitment and applicant tracking across multiple departments.
  • Drafting job advertisements, position descriptions, and onboarding materials.
  • Preparing and maintaining employment agreements, offer letters, and experience letters.
  • Implementing HR policies and ensuring version control and employee acknowledgment.
  • Managing attendance, leave registers, and HRIS data integrity.
  • Coordinating onboarding, induction schedules, and offboarding compliance.
  • Employee relations and wellbeing initiatives, including escalation and resolution management.
  • Handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for management and board-level regular interactions.

Relevant experience

  • 4+ years in HR generalist or HR management roles within a professional or outsourcing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing recruitment pipelines and ATS workflows.
  • Proven record of compliance documentation and policy implementation.
  • Exposure to financial services regulatory procedures, compliance and reporting standards.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in HR operations and governance.

Role Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations and ensuring all staff processes, from recruitment through to off-boarding, must meet internal governance policies and legal standards.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee staff wellbeing, engagement, and professional support programs.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job posting, shortlisting, assessments, and offer issuance.
  • Create and update job descriptions in collaboration with department heads.
  • Maintain employee records, attendance and HRIS data for reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare and manage employment documentation: offer letters, employment agreements, and experience letters.
  • Conduct structured onboarding, induction and probation tracking.
  • Implement and monitor HR policies ensuring all employees have current acknowledgements.
  • Support performance and conduct reviews, maintaining fairness and compliance.
  • Track staff training milestones and maintain accurate personnel files.
  • Liaise with the external payroll provider to ensure HR data updates are communicated accurately (without processing payroll).
