We are seeking an Intermediate Paraplanner with 2-4 years Australian paraplanning experience. You will work as a dedicated paraplanner for one of our Australian financial planning practices.

The financial planning practice is seeking a paraplanner to prepare SOAs with retirement modelling cashflow scenarios. There will also be some compliance-level checks such as a post-advice file note ensuring that all strategies and products have been correctly implemented as per the SoA.

Role Highlights:

  • AdviserLogic is the advice software used by the practice with a focus around Cashflow 2.0 (modelling tool)
  • SoA preparation with focus on retirement modelling
  • You will be trained, supported and supervised by our management team
  • Standard shift times, 8am to 5pm (IST), Monday to Friday

Candidate Skill and Industry Experience

This role requires specific paraplanning experience and defined skillset requirements. The practice specialises in retirement planning advice and as such as 90% of the SOAs are focused around individuals aged 55 - 80. Naturally, there is a high-level of technical cashflow modelling.

Core Skills

  • Must have prior paraplannign
  • Must have knowledge and applied experience of financial projection modelling within Australian advice landscape with solid foundations in superannuation contributions and pension withdrawals.
  • Preferred experience with aged care and social security (Centrelink) income and asset testing as well as assessment of other assets (such as gifting rules).
  • Strong understanding of advice compliance and record-keeping standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with ownership, integrity, and accountability.

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in Australian paraplanning role.
  • Demonstrated capability in retirement projections, cashflow modelling and strategy writing.
  • Experience preparing SoAs and RoAs for superannuation, pension, investment, and insurance advice.
  • Direct experience with Australian financial planning standards and compliance requirements for advice generation tasks.

Role Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting operational delivery within the financial planning paraplanning service line.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare SoAs and RoAs using AdviserLogic in line with provided adviser briefs.
  • Preparation of retirement scenario modelling using AdviserLogic Cashflow 2.0 tool.
  • Prepare post-advice implementation compliance checklists and file notes
  • Prepare initial file review compliance check and file notes before starting advice preparation.
  • Generating and exporting insurance and annuities quotes.

Our Ideal Candidate

An ideal candidate is someone how has been working as a paraplanner in Australian financial planning for 2 or 3 years and is seeking a new challenge. You will have Xplan, AdviserLogic or Plutosoft experience and are quite familiar with cashflow modelling using the tools of the software.

If you have this experience but in Xplan or Plutosoft, we are prepared to train you on AdviserLogic. You must at least have the technical knowledge and capabilities in Australian retirement modelling to be considered for this role.
